Vision IT Group restructures its consulting activities by creating Vision Consulting Group and appointing Thierry Boccara as President

Vision IT Group will be growing its skills in the domain of consulting within a new European entity. The creation of this new organization underscores the determination of Vision IT Group to enlarge its product offering and to consolidate its position in consulting by bringing together the strategic expertise of the Group. The new entity will be headed by Thierry Boccara, the current President of Optium | Vision IT Group and Métris.

After having integrated companies like Optium, then Métris, which have been specialized in consulting services for more than 15 years, Vision IT Group is now reinforcing the power of its expertise by gathering together in a single organization all of the Group’s related skills and competences: Vision Consulting Group.

‘Consulting occupies a strategic place in our move into high value added expertise and services,’ explains Marc Urbany, co-chairman of Vision IT Group. ‘These skills are considered to constitute a major product offering in the growth strategy of the Group and will be deployed on a priority basis across Europe via the ‘Grid Company’ concept. This structure presently consists of more than 50 persons in France. Experts from the other countries of the Group will quickly join this first entity.’

The product offering of Vision Consulting Group will be developed around 4 major domains of expertise:
- Assistance with Contracting and the Management of Requirements
- Quality and Conformity Management
- Steering and Management of Projects
- Change Management

Vision Consulting Group offers both long term services as well as specific one-time offers of expertise with high value added. The latter are often used by clients to draw up an inventory or status report (audit of conformity, redefining a project, benchmarking, market studies, etc.).

Thierry Boccara becomes the President of Vision Consulting Group

Vision Consulting Group, a company which brings together the consulting talents of Vision IT Group in Europe, will be headed by Thierry Boccara, who is currently the President of Optium | Vision IT Group and Métris.
Aged 49, he holds degrees from MIAGE and DESS in the field of telecoms. After having served as an airplane pilot in the Navy air force, he became a computer engineer at Infotel in 1984, serving as a technical expert, a trainer and finally as a consultant responsible for client accounts.
In 1989, he joined AUSY and took over responsibility for the Industry and Distribution operations.
In 1993, he founded the Optium group consisting of four companies purchased under his direction through external growth; in 2002, Optium employed more than 300 persons. Optium was consolidated into Vision IT Group in 2007, bringing with it expertise in the field of Software Qualification and in the profession of operational consulting.
‘The success we have achieved in serving our French clientele has been due particularly to the relevance of our consultants and to the service offers we make available. All of this will provide the basis for expanding our consulting activities across Europe to serve the clientele of Vision IT Group.’
